Cviche 105 being located in Downtown, Miami, parking is not always easy. I was able to find a spot on the street extremely close, had I not, valet was also an option. I was greeted at the hostess stand immediately and brought to a table of two against the couch. It was busy and a bit loud, but as a frequent customer, I knew what to expect. I was greeted by my server within 15 seconds and placed my drink order. They brought out my drink with suggestions of an appetizer, which I ordered along with my entrée. Within 10-15 minutes, my appetizer was brought out, perfectly present, looking just as pretty as it was delicious. Portion size was great for two people and wasn’t too heavy to spoil the appetite for the entrée. About 10 minutes later, my entrée arrived- Ceviche drenched in a passionfruit cream sauce, both sweet and tangy, so amazingly magical! The server checked in to ensure all was good with my meal. The desserts at Cviche 105 are something to be just as excited about as the ceviche itself. The cheesecake was creamy and sweet, but not too sweet- the perfect mix and perfect ending. The presentation was a bit simpler but the taste made up for any lack of presentation. I was kindly asked if I wanted to order anything else, but I declined, I was in and out of the restaurant in just over an hour.

Driving down from Fort Lauderdale is always hit or miss with traffic. This time was miss, but I luckily stuck to the toll lanes and kept moving. 35 miles took about 40 minutes , so not bad at all. I quickly found a parking spot in one of the lots that sit between the 2 sides of Biscayne Blvd. I used the PayByPhone App to park a block away form the Cviche 105 so it was pretty painless. Had to wait about 15 minutes past the posted opening time, but as it was pleasant outside, it was not an imposition, just odd. I asked the hostess if they had and inside bar and if so to be seated there, as I was dining solo. Once seated at the bar I had a nice Pisco Fuego. Unfortunately only one... I ordered the appetizer and ceviche at the same time after consulting with the bartender, but asked that they be brought out separately. The bartender checked on me, without being annoying. Quality of food was great, portions were more than enough for 1 person (sharing would be more fun) and price was typical for downtown Miami.

Self-parking did not look promise around the time that I arrived, so I quickly went for the valet, which at $10 was somewhat average for the area. Without a reservation, I was shown to a table immediately and service began soon after. My drink order consisted of a Piscojito – an interpretation of a mojito where Rum is replaced with Pisco. It was tart and minty and strong and delicious – I did not finish the drink, but promised myself to return and re-order it. The ceviche was well balanced, full of chunks of all the fresh seafood one would expect. The grilled corn and the piece of sweet potato providing crunch and balance to the spicy citrus marinade, if needed. A few minutes after taking my last bite of ceviche, the entrée arrived. It looked intimidating in size, but very appealing and smelled even better. It was a special for the evening and my lovely waiter expressed his fondness for that dish, so I expected great things, and I was not disappointed. The corvine itself was light and perfectly cooked, the lobster was sweet and tender and smoky from the sauce, the shrimp were juicy, and obviously, the sauce that they marinated in, served with rice and potato. This dish was a feast and I did not make my way past a third of it, taking the rest home to my daughter, who loved it even more the next day, based on the enthusiastic feedback that I received. CVI.CHE 105 deserves a repeat visit, with more time and more friends to share and sample the menu.
