Fried CalamariFried Calamari Recipe

12 ounces calamari, fresh, tubes sliced into ½ inch circles, tentacles cleaned
1 cup AP flour
1 tablespoon dried Badia parsley
1 teaspoon Badia kosher salt
lemon wedges
oil for frying






Heat about 3 inches oil in a large pot on medium high heat or 350 degrees. Mix the flour, parsley and salt together. Dredge the calamari into the flour mixture and shake off any excess in a colander over a bowl.

Place the calamari, in three batches into the oil. When it just starts turning golden, one to one and a half minutes maximum, remove the calamari and place over paper towels. Season with salt and serve with lemon wedges. print recipe
