BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
1 red onion, sliced in ½ inch rings, grilled
2 red peppers, seeded and stemmed, cut in 6ths, grilled
2 plum tom cut in half lengh wise, grilled
2 Serrano chilies, grilled whole without oil
3 garlic cloves
1 (1 inch) piece of ginger
2 tablespoons Molasses
2 tablespoons Brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons balsamic Vinegar
1 Granny smith apple, peeled and chopped without seeds
2 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
3 tablespoon Italian parsley
Directions:
In a medium size pot on medium low heat, add the oil. Add all of the grilled and raw vegetables into the pan, stirring, for about 5 minutes. Add all other ingredients to the pot. Simmer for 30-45 minutes (if you have more time, leave it for an hour), puree in a blender until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper.
