Donald Ross Plaza is always bustling, especially on a Friday night. I dropped my wife off at the door and by the time I parked my car, my wife was already seated at a table. I asked to be seated outside for a little privacy. We have four kids and Friday night is date night so I appreciate the quiet at the end of the week. We ordered our Brussel Sprouts, which I love, and Coppa Pizza which came out within a few minutes. Luckily I had a craft beer to quench my thirst. They had a pork shoulder special that evening but our waiter recommended the house pork shoulder, which I was glad he did. My wife and I had a difficult time deciding whose meal was better. The special Grouper and pork shoulder were mouthwatering. Our evening was lovely with thunderstorm rolling in, amazing food and quiet time together. Coolinary reminds me of the meals I used to have at the James Beard House in NYC.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Everything from the appetizer to the dessert was unbelievable. All fresh ingredients – the restaurant is a small place – but the wait went by very quickly. Everyone from the waitress to the waiter was very warm and welcoming. I like the fact that the menu was not overwhelming. The waiter took his time to explain which were the most popular dishes and gave us great recommendations. I thought the price for two people was very reasonable for the quality of food, I thought it would be more expensive—I was pleasantly surprised.

I loved the mix of people; there was a young family of four behind us and young couples on dates. And of course the food! Each time a plate passed we strained our necks to see it – beautiful as well as delicious! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone with an adventurous palate. I don’t think a strict meat and potato person would find it as delightful as we did. Parking is not a problem either as this complex has multiple restaurants to try.
