It’s not much from the outside, but you notice the crowd of hungry patrons waiting for tables sipping their wine and beers when you drive up. The inside is cramped, but cute. The ceiling is part of a thatched tiki hut roof, and the crowd is abuzz with conversation. As the crowds thinned out I realized there was Caribbean music playing in the background. The staff is busy methodically moving about the space serving food and drinks. Every time an entrée would pass by you could not help but notice the beautiful presentation as it made it way toward the diner. The staff was attentive, but not over bearing, and knowledgeable and helpful when I asked about dishes.

The bill was high, but I did not have a problem with it since I thoroughly enjoyed the food. I would and have recommended to others.

The restaurant was a little small for my liking. When it comes to a sushi restaurant, you have to be somewhat skeptical when you hear of a restaurant that sounds like the name of a bar. But even though Hog Snappers is not directly on the water, the island theme of the restaurant makes you feel like kicking back and having a daiquiri! I love sushi and am very picky when it comes to where I eat it, but here the sushi melts in your mouth and is as fresh as you can get. The staff is friendly and always comes around making sure you are topped off. I went in for lunch and would stop back any day, and I would gladly take any sushi lover to this Treasure Coast hot spot!

There was ample parking right up front. While approaching, there was really nice island music playing on the speakers outside. When we walked in, the waitress acknowledged us immediately and told us to sit anywhere we'd like. The decor was really cute & cozy with a thatched ceiling inside. The menus were at our table within 2 minutes. The service was incredible and the other patrons were so friendly. The waitresses were young, extremely attentive and energetic. People really looked like they were having a good time.

I really liked the diverse selections on the menu. I thought it was interesting how they had a food challenge of a 2 lb burger on the menu AND an extensive menu. There are many choices on the menu from Sushi to BBQ and everything in between. The service was like lightning speed. Each course was brought out very quickly and was piping hot. The food was pleasant and seasoned nicely with a few minor exceptions. We really enjoyed the overall experience. I would recommend this place to people who are looking for an island laid back comfortable restaurant with good food, good service & ample portions.
