I Love Tacos is unassuming, relaxed, and definitely more than just tacos. I love it because of how much it surprised me the first time I went. In an area full of chain restaurants and lackluster cuisine, I Love Tacos has become our only Pembroke Pines favorite that we just can’t seem to get enough of. Easy night out with family or friends, great for a girls night full of margaritas. Chips and Guacamole – basic but so delicious. Addicting for guacamole fans. Shrimp Habanero Enchiladas – Spicy, fresh, and so filling. A must have for those who enjoy seafood and a little kick. The rice and beans that come as a side are also flavorful and fresh, unlike the typical bland rice and bean dishes you get at most Mexican restaurants. This is not your typical taco restaurant. The food is as authentic as if you were visiting Mexico, and the flavor is out of this world.

I arrived at the eatery on 11/6/16 around 3:30 pm. Parking was difficult since I love Tacos is part of a strip mall within a larger shopping center as a whole. Once entered in the eatery, a young man behind the service counter allowed me to seat myself. I started out with a generic Mexican soda (lime flavored and un-refillable) along with chips and salsa. I ordered Tacos Al Pastor which came three to an order. The flavor of the pork with pineapple was delicious and tender, but was overrun with onion topping that it drowned the flavor out. I was full and finally received a bill that came out to a moderate price. Once my debit card was secured, I noticed that my tip was inflated by an extra dollar without my consent. The music choice for I love Tacos fit in line with the theme of the cuisine and was at a comfortable volume. Sorry to say, I will not be returning to I Love Tacos.

I Love Tacos is a fun, festive little “mom and pop” style restaurant that serves generous portions of authentic, delicious Mexican and South American fare. It’s tough to find, especially if you’re not from that area, but it is definitely well worth the effort. Salud! Once my friend and I did find it we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service, the interesting décor and the festive atmosphere. The food portions are generous, and the tacos were flavorful, rich and satisfying. It’s quite a bit out of my way (I live in Fort Lauderdale), but for anyone who lives in that area I Love Tacos does Mexican food muy bueno!
