Restaurant Pick: The Guest
Everyone felt that this restaurant makes a very successful attempt to be unique, not pretentious, good soul food, prepared well, tastes good. The owner stopped at our table to see if everything was ok, that is always a nice touch. All of us took home carry out that was ready when we were ready to leave. I checked on the carryout dinner with my friend who is Jamaican, she prefers oxtail that are spicy sweet, but she said these were good. The only negative: the side dish was canned string beans. I don't like it when a restaurant serves canned vegetables when fresh or frozen are so much better.

Great and creative menu. Fun and free atmosphere. My family and I don’t mind taking the 1.5 hour round trip to enjoy some of Miami’s best hidden food treasures. IF you go on the right day, you also may run into one of Miami’s local celebrities.

Though iKrave might seem hidden in a remote shopping plaza, its definitely worth stopping in. Take out or Dine in, the waffles will leave you drooling with anticipation. So nicely done. I’m sorry we missed breakfast, but dinner and lunch are fantastic. This is true Southern Comfort Food / Soul Food, and especially if you live nearby it’s worth the drive. If you’re not used to “Soul Food” – think fried chicken, grits, green beans, fish and so much more. I love exploring different foods and I wish there was more of these restaurants closer to me. If anything, you need to go for the waffles, trust me you will NOT be disappointed.
