This is not one of the prettiest or one of the more glamorous of South Florida restaurants. What it is though, is one of the best purveyors of fresh seafood in all of Florida. It's also one of the few affordable restaurants where you can sit outside with a view of the water. This is where the locals go for quality and value. The menu has great starters like conch fritters, smoked fish dip, stuffed, steamed or raw clams, grilled or raw shucked oysters, conch and clam chowders, Old Bay spiced shrimp, just to name a few of your choices. If you continue with the main courses, there's even more to indulge in. Shrimp, Dungeness Crab, Clam Strips, Mussels, Scallops, Dolphin, Chicken, Sandwiches, burgers, Salads and more. They always have a variety specials to choose from also.
I started with a dozen raw oysters, and shared another dozen of their delicious grilled oysters. The raw oysters are fresh and tasty, served with crackers, lemon, horseradish and cocktail sauce. The grilled oysters are still moist, with a buttery parmesan and parsley topping, absolutely delicious. Deciding on which chowder to choose from tends to be a dilemma but I do as the locals do, which is to order a ½ & ½ , half conch chowder, half clam chowder, half white, half red. This is some of the best chowder found anywhere in America. We added a Blackened Mahi Caesar salad that was fresh, well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. The desert we choose was a Chocolate Lava Cake, with a warm, white chocolate center. I don't typically indulge in desserts, but this was worth it. Warm and chocolatey, it was delicious. The service was superb, fast and friendly. The menu is self-explanatory, nothing too fancy, but the server was there to answer any questions. The cost is very reasonable considering the consistency of the quality of the seafood, the recipes and the preparation. The bonus is watching the people that come here.

It was definitely one of the biggest fish sandwiches I've had. I thought that overall, this was a pretty good restaurant. There might have been parking issues, but we were running late and didn't get there till right in the middle of dinner rush so it's kind of expected. Where we sat outside was probably the biggest issue and even that wasn't that bad, the view was great but it was just all the way at the end so it took a while for the wait staff to bring things out so if you can skip an outside booth and just take a normal table.

My family and I were lucky to find a parking spot right away. The kids were fascinated with the outside fish décor. When we went in, various waiters + service people greeted us and told us to sit anywhere. To my relief there were many families with children/babies. The menu had a great selection of foods, making it hard to make a selection, our waitress was very friendly and helped to make a selection between the mahi tacos and fish & chips. All the tables were filled and the guests were very friendly. The food arrived in a timely manner, the dishes were very good and the portions were great. The restaurant offers outside dining where boaters can dock their boats and dine. Overall, I give the restaurant a solid 8.0.
